The Opportunity
Creating and publishing high-performing Travel Insurance (TI) content is critical to our success. To support the execution of our global content strategy, a new role exists for an Editorial Manager to drive the development and oversee production of World Nomads TI content in brand tone of voice across our website, service helpdesk, marketing assets, and our partnership network to achieve our conversion objectives.

This role will see you lead, mentor and inspire a team of in-house and freelance Content Producers to continually innovate and scale World Nomads TI content creation, whilst maintaining quality standards and brand tone of voice.  You will be a hands-on manager, leading the team to plan, commission and edit TI Content, whilst also rolling up your sleeves to create and deploy compliant content to production.

Working closely with the Head of Product and in consultation with the Content, Marketing and Performance teams, you will produce and manage the TI Content Roadmap and the pipeline of work, ensuring content is executed in line with the global product mix, product development calendar, marketing editorial calendar, advertising campaigns and partnerships requirements.

Being ultimately responsible for the performance and compliance of all TI content produced, you will expertly maintain World Nomads core values, product compliance, customer needs and conversion targets. You will also optimise processes to shepherd content through compliance and monitor data and analytics to continuously improve TI content performance.

About You
You are an experienced leader, with an innate understanding and passion for travel and how it changes people's lives.

You will have significant experience in writing, commissioning and editing content in an online, broadcast, newsroom, PR, agency and/or corporate environment, possessing a superb grasp of the English language with an ability to write and rework text quickly and professionally. You will also possess contemporary high-level experience in online and digital content production, with experience using Content Management Systems.

You are a proven creative writing and sub-editing practitioner with exposure to a wide spectrum of content styles from corporate communications and technical writing to advertising copywriting for digital channels. Your hands-on experience is backed by a degree in business (marketing or advertising), communications or arts (media, communications, journalism) or significant commercial experience.

You will be unflappable and level headed, having managed large scale content initiatives and projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders. Your demonstrated communication skills allow you to present complex concepts in simple ways to change behaviours and drive conversions, along with the ability to creatively design and implement action plans whilst considering team and company goals.   You will also use your commercial acumen to continuously leverage content performance insights to optimise editorial, PR and partnership and sales opportunities.
